Please treat the website as the authoritative version

The deck is a snapshot. This website is updated more often, so where the two disagree, the website is correct. The same notice is printed on the deck's last page, so it travels with the file.

What is on it

Ten slides, plus a cover and a page of notices. In order: the problem the work addresses, why its causes are hard to find, the three domains of the career, the investment record, the current roles and standards seats, the two speaking subjects, where he has spoken, one assessment from a named counterparty, the practical details an organiser needs, and where to go next.

The deck is generated from this website by a script, rather than maintained by hand as a separate document. That is deliberate: it means every claim on a slide is a claim published here, where it can be checked, and it removes the usual way a biography deck goes quietly out of date.

What you may do with it

The deck is published under CC BY-ND 4.0, the Creative Commons Attribution-NoDerivatives 4.0 International. Share it, print it, and use it to introduce him or to propose him to a programme committee. No permission is needed and there is no need to write and ask.

The one condition is that you pass it on as it is. That is what the NoDerivatives part means, and the reason for it is narrow: the deck carries his name on every page, so an edited version circulating under that name is a statement about him he cannot see or correct.

One part of the deck is not his to license: the assessment quoted on slide eight belongs to the person who said it, and is reproduced with the same attribution it carries on the assessments page. The full terms for everything on this site, including what is not offered, are on the licence page.

If you need something else

A short and a long biography, both written to be copied into an event programme, are on the speaking page, along with the formats, the notice period and the accreditation details. A photograph is on the about page.

If you need a version of the deck that this one does not cover, a different length or a particular emphasis, ask through the speaking route and say what the audience is.
